A pocket-size analysis of Core Values of all the Fortune 500 companies. I categorize corporate core values into two - “protective” and “disruptive”. “Protective” values are those that are typically “safeguarding and preserving” in nature. On the other hand, “disruptive” values tend to incline towards an advancement culture or “what's next?” angle. It was not surprising to see that a large percentage of Fortune 500 companies have embraced Protective Core Values, as opposed to Disruptive, and unlike the growth, tech companies.
